建筑文化论是建筑学专业研究生的一门非学位课程。文化学探讨文化的生成、起源、定义、本质、结构和功能等；发现全人类和各民族文化过程的客观规律；研究人类物质和精神文化的各种文献、现象和事件。 本课程的教学任务旨在使研究生掌握基本的文化学理论、文化的本质以及对各种类型建筑文化的研究，借助文化学的知识结合本专业进行分析，并通过对国内外著名建筑实例的讲解，解读建筑中的文化意象，剖析建筑中的文化内涵，加深对建筑的理解与认知。
课程英文简介:
Architectural Culture is a non-degree course for architectural postgraduate student. It’s a course arguing about culture’s engendering, origin, definition, essence, structure and function. Discover the rules of the culture process of the whole human and different nations; studying about all kind of documents, phenomenon and events of the hylic and psychic culture’s. This course’s teaching purpose is to make students get know about the basic theory, the essential of culture and deferent kinds of studies toward deferent types of Architectural Culture. And also can analyze their own subject with the knowledge of Architectural Culture. By the method of using large number’s of explanation about famous buildings all around the world, unscramble the culture image in architecture, analyze the connotation of culture in architecture, deepen their understanding and perceive toward architecture.

第一部分 文化学概论 第一章 文化的定义与文化学的缘起 第二章 世界历史的文化类型 第三章 中西方文化简史与比较 第二部分 建筑文化论 第一章 建筑文化学概论 研究本课程的目的、特点及方法等 第二章 建筑学和文化学 文化学的发展、建筑与文化的概念、文化的本质及内涵等 第三章 建筑文化学的研究对象 建筑文化学的宗旨。 第四章 建筑文化学的研究范围和内容 第三部分 当代建筑文化理论与实践 第一章 讲解建筑文化方面的理论、动态等 第二章 通过讲解建筑大师及一些具有代表性的建筑实例，引导学生们去研究建筑中所蕴涵的文化要素及内涵。 第三章 通过考察上海现有建筑，结合地域文化以及当今建筑思潮，对具有代表性的建筑及城市设计案例所表现的的文化意象进行解读和剖析。
