The aim to study dynamic characteristics of rock and soil and analysis methods, to solve the geotechnical engineering problems under dynamic loading. There are two parts formed of ten chapters. Part I is soil dynamics including dynamic strength, deformation and pore pressure of soil, liquation of saturate sand, dynamic constitutive model of soil, dynamic response analysis of soil and dynamic stability analysis of soil. Part II is rock dynamics including dynamic characteristics of rock, dynamic constitutive model of rock, propagation of stress wave and mechanism of fracture in rockmass, dynamic response analysis of rock (rockmass),and application of rock dynamics in Engineering.
