“Technical Innovation Management” is a fundamental course in the technical management area, aimed to teaching some fundamental theory and methods for the graduates in this research field. By combining teaching and case discussion, this course will improve students’ ability to do research in the methods of the technical innovation theory. This course requires the students not only to grasp the technical innovation’s principle, process and method, but also to master the method of quantitative analysis.
This course includes:
1. The basic concept, the importance and the characteristic of technical innovation.
2. The technical innovation process management: the process model, the description of product and process innovation, process plan, control and management method.
3. The development and analysis of technical innovation strategy: three characteristics of three basic strategies and their advantages and disadvantages, focused on teaching how to make the technical innovation strategy.
4. Technical forecast, assessment and choice: introduce different methods of technical forecast, assessment and choice including the quantitative and qualitative analysis.
5. The analysis of technical transferring cost: introduce the concept, source, benefit and strategy of technical transferring.
6. The analysis of technical innovation ownership: introduce the technical innovation assets, the structure and characteristic of innovation ownership; the technical factors, economic factors and law factors.
