本课程主要根据国际贸易方式与贸易融资的基本原理，结合有关规则的变化对国际贸易实务与融资活动中出现的新情况、新问题作了一些探讨。结合现实案例面对国际贸易规则的变化以及由此带来的进出口实务活动的内容和实务环节的变化，学习、研究WTO框架下的国际贸易实务和融资。通过本课程的学习，希望达到的目的是： 1) 深入理解各国际贸易方式内涵及相关国际贸易规则； 2) 激发学生运用相关规则思考现实问题的兴趣，提高解决实际问题的能力
课程英文简介:
The course will introduce the basic theories of international trade modes and trade financing. It also apply these theories to illustrate the new issues in the area of international trade practice and trade financing under the WTO rules and current global economic environment. The objectives of this course are as follows: To understand the contents of international trade and the related trade rules and practice To motivate the students to apply the theories to the real trade practice, thus improving their ability to solve the problems in the real world.

Lecture 1 Overview of Modes of International Trade and the related rules 4 hrs Course description and evaluation requirements Trade in Goods and GATT Trade in Services and GATs Trade in Technology and TRIPs Objectives：To understand the contents of different trade modes and the related international trade rules Lecture 2 The trade conditions and contract terms 2hrs The brand name of the export and its packing The delivery and transportation of the shipment The insurance of the shipment The documents of the shipment and the electronic transaction Objectives：To understand the essentials of the trade conditions and transaction procedures and identify the potential risk during the transaction. Lecture 3 International Settlement 6hrs Introduction of the commercial invoices involved in international settlement The modes of international settlement The approach of international settlement and a brief of SWIFT Field trip Objectives：To understand the different modes of international settlement and know how to choose the right mode. Lecture 4 International Trade Financing 8hrs The brief of the traditional trade financing International factoring Export Credit and Export Credit Insurance Structure trade financing To deal with risks in trade financing Guest speakers, case analysis and class discussion Objectives：To understand different modes of trade financing and know how to analyze the related cases and control the risks Lecture 5 The Pricing strategy in International trade and the related disputes 8hrs The principle of pricing Assessment of the cost Low export price and anti-dumping Low export price and countervailing Case analysis and class discussion Objectives：To understand the principle of pricing strategy in international trade and know how to deal with related trade disputes Lecture 6 Handling the risks in International trade 4hrs To identify the risks during the transaction Dealing with management risks Dealing with accounting risks Dealing with foreign exchange risks Cases analysis and class discussion Objectives：To grasp the skills of indentifying and dealing with risks in international trade.
