This course mainly introduces some systematic fundamental theories and their applications on advanced control theory. The course aims to let students to further study fundamental knowledge and related applications of linear system theory, robust control theory, adaptive control theory and optimal control theory. This course focuses on some practical methods. The main contents include: (1) introduction of related mathematical knowledge, (2) characteristic of linear system, pole placement and etc., (3) framework and research on linear system theory, (4) concepts of stability, inner-stability, uncertainty, robustness and etc., (5) fundamental analysis on robust control and its research, (6) concept, classification, method and research on adaptive control, (7) concept, method and research on optimal control (calculus of variations, minimum principle, etc.).
