The modeling for industrial processes plays an important role in system design, analysis, simulation and advanced control applications. Without suitable models, it is impossible to realize advanced control. The modeling is always the focus of theoretical study and applications. This course aims to provide the students with processes principles and modeling methods.
The contents include: (1) introduces the significance, role of models, and ways of modeling; (2)discusses the principle, stable state calculation and dynamic modeling in detail; (3)introduces several kinds of reactors and their analytical methods, with the focus on kinetics, calculation and dynamic modeling for homogeneous reactions; (4) discusses the principles of evaporation, stable state calculation and dynamic modeling; (5)introduces the principles of gas absorption, equipments and calculation methods; (6) discusses the principle of liquid extraction, calculation methods; (7)introduces the principle of drying of solids and calculation.
