Abstract:Quantitative Genetics is a branch of genetics, which include quantitative traits as its research objects. The research contents are genetic basis, rules and application. The research methods include biotechnology, probability theory and mathematical statistics et al. Because many human's disease, majority economic traits in animals and plants, agronomic character are quantitative traits, so quantitative genetics has the important purpose in human medicine and genetic improvement in animals and plants. The course needs 54 credits hours. It includes the basic content, basic methods and parts of applications in animals & plants and to make a good basis for the students who willing to research and study in this fields.
